I’ve been interested in health for years. Growing up, I witnessed many people struggle with disease. I started to wonder if disease is not only an “if”, but more of a “when”. Today, cancer is almost viewed as inevitable; it’s just a matter of time. It’s dark and scary to think about life this way, so I transformed my thinking into positive thoughts. I wanted to learn more about what individuals can do to strengthen his or her health. Everyone knows food impacts health greatly, so I started there.
One evening, in 2016, I sat down on the couch and turned on the documentary, “Food Choices” by Michal Siewierski. If you have the slightest interest in disease, obesity, mental health, food choices, etc., do yourself a favor, and watch this free documentary ASAP! (I linked it below.) This documentary changed everything: it was the turning point that lead me down so many other paths. While I was watching the documentary, my husband was trying to read a book; however, he couldn’t stop watching either. My husband and I have been eating a plant-based diet since that evening, and I can’t wait to write about all of the information we have learned along the way.
